How to Recite Allahumma Salli
Allahumma salli is a supplication (dua) darood sharif in Arabic, commonly used by Muslims to send blessings upon Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It’s a short but powerful invocation that holds immense significance in Islamic practices.
To recite Allahumma salli, you simply say:
Allahumma salli ala Muhammadin wa ala ali Muhammad.
This translates to: "O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad."
This supplication is often followed by:
Allahumma barik ala Muhammadin wa ala ali Muhammad.
Meaning: "O Allah, bestow blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad."
Reciting these durood sharif duas regularly is considered a virtuous act and a way to seek blessings and intercession from the Prophet Muhammad. It can be recited individually or in congregation, and there is no specific time or place for reciting it.
